Britská akademie filmového a televizního umění představila nominace na nejlepší hry roku. Nejvíce nominací získaly tituly Death Stranding a Control. Obě mají 11 nominací, ale akční adventura od Hidea Kojimy není zahrnuta v kategorii nejlepší hra roku, což je poněkud zvláštní. Death Stranding má totiž hned dvě nominace u nejlepšího herce ve vedlejší roli. Kromě toho si Hideo Kojima převezme cenu BAFTA Fellowship za kreativní přínos pro herní průmysl.

Za pozornost stojí také Untitled Goose Game, která má 4 nominace, včetně nejlepší hry, kde soupeří ještě Control, Disco Elysium, Luigi's Mansion 3, Outer Wilds a Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
