Francouzská společnost Ubisoft reaguje na ostatní vydavatele a spouští konkurenci pro Origin Access Premier od Electronic Arts a Xbox Game Pass od Microsoftu. Uplay Plus nabízí svým předplatitelům na počítači více než 100 her, které mohou bez omezení hrát, a to včetně série Assassin's Creed, série Far Cry, I Am Alive, For Honor, starých dílů Might & Magic, Rayman, legendárního Prince of Persia, South Parku, The Crew, The Settlers nebo velkého zástupu dílů Tom Clancy's - mj. Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six a The Division.

Do 30. září 2019 je možné Uplay+ vyzkoušet zdarma. Ubisoft chce nahnat hráče do služby, aby předešel případným problémům se spuštěním ostré verze. Nutno podotknout, že premiéra nebyla bezchybná. Hráči hlásí problémy se stažením her z knihovny. Doufejme, že vše technici a vývojáři brzy vyřeší.

Po bezplatném období bude Uplay+ stát 15 euro, což je v přepočtu necelých 400 korun za měsíc. Origin Access Premier stojí úplně stejně a PC verze Xbox Game Passu je za 119 Kč (první 3 měsíce jen za 119 Kč). Ovšem Origin ani Xbox Game Pass nenabízejí takové množství her. Plus Ubisoft po vzoru Microsoftu a EA slibuje, že všechny nové hry budou v den vydání dostupné v Uplay+, včetně Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Dalším bonusem je velké množství her v kompletních edicích.
