Britská akademie filmového a televizního umění vybrala hry roku 2019. Výsledky jsou pro mnohé překvapivé. Na druhou stranu neuškodí vyzdvihnout tituly, o kterých se během roku tolik nemluví. Ano, hrou roku podle BAFTA 2020 není Control, natož Death Stranding, které nebylo do nejdůležitější kategorie ani nominováno.

Místo těchto dvou her dominovaly tituly Outer Wilds a Disco Elysium, které v průběhu minulého roku zapůsobily. Hidea Kojimu může těšit ocenění BAFTA za mimořádný a výjimečný přínos a jedna cena pro Death Stranding. Se stejným počtem cen skončil i Control.
